Friday, June 25th, 2010

As business finances get tighter, the world becomeing more ‘green’ concious and the internet now being very accessable, businesses are looking for the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way to market there business.

Having a Website, tho they can cost upfront, is a very affordable and long term investment. Once you have it designed and developed, usually the only ongoing is the domain name (.com, .com.au, .net…) and the hosting which is where the website is stored for use). This should only be about $200-300au per year.
If built well a website can be a pleasure to use for potential and existing clients, gain genuine leads & adds professionalism to most businesses that dont currently have a website.

If your website can’t be found

then its pointless having one!

Some ways to market your site to increase traffic are SEO, Print Material, Social Media, Back Links, Radio, tv.

What are these terms?
SEOSearch Engine Optimisation, optimising for search engines so that your website ranks well for relative keywords.

CROConversion Rate Optimisation, establish what the main purpose/s for you site and making it as easy as possible for people to achive this.

R31 Skyline Flash Animation

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

This animation was alot of fun building during the
“Diploma of Graphic Design”.

Brief: To create an auto play, 30-90 second animation to music.

This was built about 5 years ago after learning the basic fundamentals of Macromedia Flash. I know the tiling of the background is glitchy & the motorbike runs the red light, due to me not being able to stop its wheels at the time (lol).

I have been meaning to re-creative this animation and add sound fx etc but with the web design workload its really hard to find the time. BUT if there was enough interest and encouragement about this animation it could just happen.
